Aug 19, 2013 Rating Coat problem by: Mark You say that your doxie has white hair growing on her head and behind her ears. Dachshunds are prone to a genetic disease called, Vitiligo, this disease causes depigmented skin patches,so any hair on these patches turns white. There is quite a bit of information on the Internet about this disease, that you could read. You really best to see your vet as it may be some other condition, just to make sure you get the correct diagnosis. Hope this helps you out, best of luck.
