Apr 25, 2013 Rating Eating Poop by: Tui Hi, in regards to dogs eating their own poop,it starts off as a lack of minerals in their diet and as they continue to eat their poop it then becomes a bad habit. It order to stop them from eating their poop is simple, all you need to do is clean up their poop as soon as you can so they don't have access to it. If it's not there they can't eat it.
