Jan 10, 2017 Rating stretch out their front legs to make them stand up by: Anonymous hold them like that for 30 seconds & it should stop the heaves, backward sneezing. Do not hold their front legs apart but in a normal position as if they are stretching to reach up to you to pick them up. Do this gently & it should work in helping them to breathe normal again.

Jan 09, 2017 Rating Wind sucking issue by: Wendy My girl cinnamon does this periodically and my groomer/wonderful friend tells me to plug her nostrils and this should make it stop. It really does work. She tells me this is equivalent to a human hyperventilating. Hope it helps.

Jan 09, 2017 Rating Inverted sneezing by: Anonymous Reverse sneezing. My vet told me to put her on my lap and spread her front legs apart a little to help open up her chest. Also you can blow very gently into there nose it makes them take a breath after that my dog usually sneezes (in my face) but the episode is over.

Jan 09, 2017 Rating Reverse sneezing by: Anonymous The issue is called reverse sneezing, common in doxies, and doxie mix and chihuahuas. Not harmful just sometimes irritating.
